Sony and Panasonic just announced a new technology that will enable to store 33.4 GB per layer in a DVD BluRay , that’s 66.8 GB (Currently, it is 25 GB per layer, 50 GB). This technology is called i-MLSE (Maximum Likelihood Sequence Estimation) and presents the BIG advantage of not requiring a change of gear! In fact, for this technology to work on BluRay DVD player ,you need just a simple software update!
