Google's Nexus One Trademark Refused By the U.S. Patent Office

It is indeed the question that hovers now around the first smartphone from Google since the USPTO, U.S. Patent Office has rejected the application to registrater the mark “Nexus One” for Google.

The cause? The term “Nexus” had already been filed by Integra Telecom.

Google now has 6 months to prepare his defense and try to change that decision.

So What are the solutions that remain if the name “Nexus One” is owned by Integra Telecom?

A new tablet from Google

After the Nexus One, Google has another project in partnership with HTC, it would be a touch pad! It since 18 months when the two giants are working on this project and a first prototype could even be unveiled at CES or at the press conference on January 5 for the launch of Nexus One.

We do not know more about this tablet, which obviously would turn in Chrome OS, or even Android if it is launched early this year.

Nexus One, the Google phone for sale on 5th January 2010

Nexus One from Google using Android 2.1 should be for sale on the 5th of January 2010, in the United States.

The phone itself will be sold exclusively online at Google.

The packages will be provided by the phone operator : T-Mobile.

The price should be something around $ 530 and $ 180 for 2 years of subscription with TMobile.
