In addition to the views in the form of maps and satellite images, users of Google Maps have now a new option: display images 3D from Earth View.
To enjoy these spectacular images, it is not necessary to install Google Earth. A simple plug-in is now enough to visit the planet in 3D, without leaving your browser. Its installation is also automatically offered when we connect to the mapping service.

Google justified this development by the improving of Web browsers which are now much faster. The plug-in is compatible with Windows operating systems (2000, XP, Vista and 7) and Mac OS X (version 10.4 and later).
It works with common browsers: Google Chrome, of course, but Internet Explorer (version 7 and later), Firefox (version 2.0 and later) and Flock (version 1 and following), and finally Safari (version 3.1 and later).
This new option offers a real advantage for users who can explore places, known or unknown, under a new aspect. The changeover can be done very easily from an arrow navigation placed at the top left of the window. it can be tilted to control the map to discover the effects of terrain.

Navigation in 3D images is extremely fluid, whether when you move, change camera angles or make enlargements.
the terrain modeling of buildings and the spectacular function of overflying the planet when you move from one point to another. In short, this online version of Earth has the same feelings as the software, or almost.
The plug-in in fact isn’t integrating all functions of Google Earth. The historical tours, which help you see the evolution of a neighborhood over time, GPS routes, the flight simulation tool or images of the Moon and Mars are not available in the interface mapping. In these cases, using the software is essential.

JSCo unveiled its Noiseless Mouse, a mouse, which, as its name implies, leaves no noise.
Specifically, the noise of clicks made with this mouse is imperceptible to the ear. Impressive. Although I suspect most of you don’t pay more attention to sounds emitted by their (many) clicks.
Finally, then, after reading this note, you are definitely going to notice a little while.

Now that iPad tablet has been launched, it is time to compare the application performances of the Apple A4 processors and Qualcomm SnapDragon, the latter being present in many smartphones, including the Nexus One of Google.

The iPad tablet has an applications processor Apple A4 on which very little information has been made public . it’s only known that it’s clocked at 1 GHz and could be fitted with a heart ARM Cortex A8.
This is the same the processor as inside the iPhone 3Gs, but in this case, it is clocked at 600 MHz. For the application processors running at 1 GHz, the platform SnapDragon Qualcomm present in several smartphones, including the Google Nexus One.

The great temptation is to compare their performance. That what pushed to compare the loading times of Web pages on the iPad, iPhone 3Gs and Google Nexus One. The result is what it is worth knowing that this is not the same architecture, the same hardware, same OS …
The results suggest that the iPad tablet displays more quickly (10%) Web pages than Google smartphone Nexus One, which is itself faster than the iPhone 3Gs.

after running the SunSpider benchmark on the three platforms. Again, the advantage is given to the processor Apple iPad A4 tablet compared to the Google SnapDragon Nexus One.
But it is difficult to conclude that the processor Apple A4 is necessarily more efficient. software optimization can be the cause of these differences in addition to the platforms that have a little in common.
